Vacuum state of peace
This week has beaten away at my last defenses, leaving me naked, and frightened when it comes to the world around me.
It's just been one drama after the other.
I'm too tired to list out what's happened, but I'll copy what I wrote my mom.
- Sunday: Drove North (about 40 miles) and back to babysit for bossman's kid. We picked up dinner, after eating it, I felt slightly nauseated.
- Monday: Woke up feeling ill. Went to work. They decided we should go up North again to hang out and do some side work. We go, and we eat, and we have ice cream and all that jazz, and I start feeling even sicker, and we leave late at night. Really late. I have to pull over to throw up on the way home. We stop at Walgreen's so we can clean up and hopefully rid ourselves of illness, and we head back to Justin's.
- Tuesday: We spend the day at J's. Him being sick with diarrhea every half hour or so, me just lying there wanting to die. I go home.
- Wednesday: Doctor's appointment. Drama there. Go to work later, feel sick from breakfast all day, throw up a little, feel a little better. We try to make the night better by resolving to go home, eat some food, watch some Buffy and relax. Instead, we get to J's place, and he doesn't have his keys. Bossman has them, because he had to use them to unlock something earlier, and never gave them back. Bossman, Lt. Bossman, and everyone from the office has left for the night and went out to go hang at some town far far away by the time we get to J's. We're locked out. E, his roommate, is with them and will be for a while. Lt. Bossman offers us his place until they get back. We accept it, and drive all the way back to Nowheresville to crash at his pad. We eat, we watch Buffy, and we crash around 2 in the morning. We get a call at 6am from Bossman, telling us they're almost back. We had taken Lt. Bossman's bed, and there were two couches in his living room area, but when they get back, Bossman kicks us out of bed and sends us home. At 6.
- Thursday: We sleep in, as allowed by Bossman, and go to work late. We hang around for a little bit, but I'm pissed and grumpy and looking for a new job while I'm up there.
- Friday: We go to work, same old routine, sort of. Have to deal with grumpy customers, we talk about how Bossman wants to be a manager, but never actually help or do anything that he asks his employees to do. They take us out to dinner at Jason's Deli later that night, and J and I come back to my place to just get the heck away from everything for the weekend.
- Saturday: My left blinker is broken. When I turn the lever in the car, it blinks erratically and a lot faster than the right, so we were curious. Checked it when we got back to my apartment, and it turns out that it's not functioning at all, so I have to go get that fixed now. The right blinker is fine, but the left one has cut out on me.
Tonight's been pretty decent, as far as the rest of the week goes, but tomorrow I have to go back out to Nowherseville and hang with Lt. Bossman and Bossman.
Also, I haven't been paid for over a month.
